Democrat Rep. Barney Frank admits his congressional misdeed
A shocking inadvertant admission by democrat Rep. Barney Frank of his role in the country's foreclosure problem was made to an oblivious audience in Boston. The partisan group missed the admission because they are so used to the way democrats admit their misdeeds in their denials.
The first way a liberal denies something when caught is to claim the accusation is racist. Further strength of denial results in calling the accusers hard hearted angry people. The third step in the denial "yes" is the pronouncement of being against something even worse in the past. So let's see how the denial "yes" pattern shows against Barney Frank in his speech in Boston.
At the mortgage foreclosure symposium in Boston in early October he stated that the republican accusation was based on "getting to take things out on poor people that are black" and hinted that any accusation against him was a veiled attack on the poor that was racially motivated. So we have step one in the speech. Step two involves the description that the accusation "is an effort, I believe, to appeal to a kind of anger in people." Step three is "If I could have stopped a republican bill I would have started with the war in Iraq. Then I would have gone to the Patriot Act. Then I would have gone to the hundreds of millions in tax cuts" he said to applause from the audience.
Notice the three step stage of denial but "yes" syndrome. The accusations are racist, then cold hearted and then he's innocent because of lack of power to prevent even worse acts by republicans. Notice the denial steps are made in front of a brain washed party people who will reaffirm the denial with supporting applause to prevent any embarrasing questions.
Time after time an observer will witness the three stage denial step program by the democrats and it becomes as automatic as a drunkard denying he likes alcohol. So those of you that are bored with political speeches by democrats, and they are so fond of making an inordinate number of them, look for the three steps. It becomes very funny when you can anticipate the steps coming. It is like an old time three stooges comedy routine with the supporting applause of the loyal democratic faithful producing the sound effects. Instead of the comedy horns and slaps of the three stooges you get the cheers and claps of the party faithful.
